This year marks a number of important milestones for Keys Finance.
It is 35 years since the business was established in Belfast, 30 years since we wrote our first insurance premium finance agreement and 20 years since we launched our professional fee finance offering for accountancy practices.
Those milestones are worth acknowledging, but they are not really what excites me most. What interests me is where we go from here.
Thirty Years of Premium Finance
Insurance premium finance has been at the heart of our business for three decades.
Over that time we have worked with brokers across the UK and Ireland, helping businesses spread the cost of their insurance in a simple and straightforward way.
The market has changed significantly over the years and continues to evolve. Technology, customer expectations and competition all look very different today than they did even ten years ago.
What has not changed is the importance of relationships, responsiveness and good service.
Those things remain just as important today as they have ever been and will continue to shape how we work with our broker partners in the years ahead.
Twenty Years Supporting Accountancy Practices
In 2006, we expanded into the accountancy sector with the launch of our professional fee finance product.
What started as a natural extension of our financing expertise has developed into an important part of our business.
Today we work with accountancy firms throughout the UK and Ireland, helping practices improve cashflow and making it easier for their clients to access professional advice and support.
We continue to see significant opportunities in this sector, particularly as technology creates new ways of integrating finance directly into practice management systems and client journeys.
Looking Forward
While we are proud of what has been achieved over the last 35 years, our focus is very much on the future.
We are continuing to invest in technology, develop new products and strengthen our relationships across both the insurance and accountancy sectors.
The businesses we work with are changing rapidly and our job is to ensure that we continue to evolve alongside them.
We believe there is a real opportunity to combine the experience and stability that comes from being an established specialist lender with the innovation and agility that clients increasingly expect.
The business has changed considerably since 1991, but our ambition today is probably greater than at any point in our history. We see significant opportunities across both insurance premium finance and accountancy finance, and we are investing heavily to ensure we are well positioned to take advantage of them.
It is an exciting time for the business and we are looking forward to the next chapter.
